We are a group of aluminum technologists, engineers, chemists, and operators with a lifelong ambition to develop a superior method to produce primary aluminum metal.  We understood the polluting, wasteful nature of making aluminum and knew the world needed a new modern process.

Since the industry invests only in marginal improvements on the existing Bayer Hall-Heroult process, we had to set out on our own to get the job done.

We learned from our 250 years of combined experience working at the world’s most prominent aluminum companies that the only way to create cleaner aluminum was to start at the beginning and completely re-envision the entire process.  And so we did. 

Underlying our deceptively simple technology is more than 18 years of under-the-radar research, design, building, testing, rebuilding, and more testing of our smelter and reactors until we got it right, from mine to metal.
